Oh Tuesday, you are almost as bad as Monday!! Today is one of those blah days. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night with Avari in the bed with us. We are trying to break of of her mimi (binkie) and she did good falling asleep initially. But she has the tendancy to wake up in the middle of the night looking for it and well, last night, we didn't have it. So we tried putting her in our bed until she can get used to not having that as a comfort item. Didn't work. She cried and screamed and eventually, we gave in and gave it to her. Well, we let her fall back asleep in our bed but so did we, so there she stayed all night. I guess after the second or third time she kicked me, I could have gotten up and put her in her own bed but I just wasn't feeling it....even as uncomfortable as I was, I couldn't convince myself to get out of bed! Laziness!! Ha! So low and behold, today started out kinda crummy but really all is well.

Thursday, I will be attending my cousins funeral. She was 35 years old and just gave up on life. I haven't seen her in years but can remember her from when I was little. My thoughts and prayers go to her family during this time. She will be greatly missed and I only wish that things would have been different!

I was able to speak with the Mortgage Company yesterday. Of course not great news but I guess I didn't really expect it to be easy. After purchasing Jacobs truck, my credit score dropped like 20 or 30 points. Crazy! Now I don't have a high enough score to qualify for the loan and need to bring my score up 17 points. That is not going to be easy at all! If I can manage it, she won't be able to run the credit again until the end of July once everything has been reported back to the bureaus! She said we could see if someone would co-sign for us but I do not want to do that. First off, I don't want to put anyone in a bad position. That would be on their credit and what if they needed to get a loan for something? Secondly, I want Jacob and I to do this on our own. We have got to come up with about $3000 dollars to pay down a little debt and it should help my credit score increase! Well, we've got probably half of that covered. So how to come up with the other half before the 22nd of the month, when our normal payments are due. We would have to pay by then, in order to have it reported to the bureau before the next time she pulls our credit. Wonderful! We are having a garage sale but not until the 26th......So now what are we to do? Not sure yet but I'm hoping that I can come up with something.

Now to Avari....She is absolutely loving school! And I am loving all of the art projects that she brings home. I have a binder with sheet protectors in that I am going to put all of her artwork in over the years and give to her later on in her life! Once we get a house, I want to make a sign that I saw on another blog to display her artwork before putting it away for safe keeping. Today we are going to go and take pictures. I have been needing to get pictures done of her but haven't had the time or money and now that everything has kinda greened up from the winter, I think we will just take them ourselves. I have my grandmothers camera that takes awesome pictures so now I just need to pick out the perfect outfit and hope that she is in a good mood this afternoon when I pick her up! It'll be lots of fun doing out first little photoshoot together. I will definitely be posting pics! I have some that I will post this afternoon that I have taken but are by no means professional looking at all, just day to day, around the house type of pics.

We are looking forward to this weekend. Getting to see John and family. Only wishing Elaine and Natalie were coming too. Can't wait to spend time with the whold family later on this year!!!

Pics coming this afternoon......

  1. I had a hard time breaking Wacey from his pacifier when he was little. I cut the tip off of the pacifier when he sat it down and then when he picked it up and put it in his mouth he said "it's boke". I said, if it's broke, we have to throw it away. It worked! Until he found another one in his playroom! Then that one "boke" too!

Love your blog! Love seeing Avari! Take care!

  2. Thanks. We had tried that awhile back and it didn't work. Maybe she was still too young to understand then. She does really good until bed time and then it's downhill from there. Hopefully we can get her off of it ASAP!
